The longest recorded was an individual from Farne Islands in Northumberland with a light level geolocation tag that covered 96,000 km in 10 months from the end of one breeding season to the start of the next. Arctic Terns live between 15 and 30 years with a record of 31 years.

I have worked as an illustrator for lots of years. Always drawn to the decorative and colour I became attracted to both birds and fashion along the way. I call birds nature’s fashionistas and they are a source of endless inspiration. Getting detailed likenesses as well as capturing the wildness of their beauty gives me a lot of satisfaction. Also learning more and more about birds is exciting.
I have recently started putting my bird illustrations on greeting cards, keychains, prints and stickers for all the bird lovers out there.
Over the years I have collected my own collection of meaningful greeting cards and I hope that my images will be enjoyed the same way.
